Long-lasting, the built-in battery can last for up to 500 days, and it’s made to be both dust and water resistant.

  • How Does It Work?: The SmartTag2 wireless connects to nearby compatible Samsung Galaxy phones, where it uses the phone’s built-in GPS and Wi-Fi to send you its location. This even works on other people’s phones and maintains privacy by encrypting its signal. You can then use the SmartThings Find map in the app to track down the SmartTag2. If it’s nearby, you can use Search Nearby to get guided instructions via a digital compass to track it down, and then make it ring to pinpoint its location.
  • Lost Mode & Location History: If the normal function of the SmartTag2 doesn’t work because of signal issues or there being no nearby compatible phones to connect to, you still have options of finding a SmartTag2.
